Zini Island is an area about the size of Manhattan situated northeast of Longhai City in southern China's Fujian Province. New access to the area has created the opportunity to develop it from the ground up in a comprehensive and cohesive way. The master plan for Zini Island is built around two city centers - a government and financial center that also serves as the symbol for the city, and a commercial center linked to adjacent Longhai City. Surrounding these core areas are residential developments and a sports and leisure space that includes a golf course and marina. The plan also incorporates distinct but related academic and entertainment centers.
